Online media briefing on China's National People’s Congress 2024
In 2024, China is facing internal and external challenges: Lower economic growth, a real estate crisis, rising geopolitical tensions and uncertainties regarding policy changes after elections in key countries. In this context, the so-called “Two Sessions” will kick-off in Beijing: The meeting of the government advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will begin on March 4. One day later, China’s legislature – the National People’s Congress (NPC) – will begin its annual gathering, the second session of the 14th National People's Congress.
